Monica Alcazar-Duarte

A former charity campaigner, Monica currently works as a documentary photographer and filmmaker for independent research projects and NGOs in England and abroad.
Monica is a graduate from the MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at London College of Communication, Distinction. She is also a MEAD Fellow from University of the Arts London.
In 2017 Monica was awarded The Photographers' Gallery Bar-Tur Award and Magnum Graduate Photographer Award. She has also produced installation work and photobooks that have been exhibited and collected within the UK and internationally. Some collections include the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Yale University Gallery, the Joan-Flasch Collection at The Arts Institute of Chicago and The Gothenburg University in Sweden.
