Monica Wise Robles is a Colombian American independent documentary filmmaker and video journalist based in Mexico City. Her work focuses on women’s rights, migration and identity in Latin American countries including Cuba, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. She is an International Women’s Media Foundation and Sundance Film Institute grantee and is currently directing her first two documentaries investigating state human rights abuses through the eyes of female activists and survivors.
