I’m a freelance photographer and writer based in Cape Town, South Africa. I specialize in writing about the environment, science, and travel and telling stories through documentary photography. I studied physics and biology at MIT and went on to complete a PhD in ecology. I also enjoy exploring a diverse range of subjects including art, street, culture, food, events, portraits and corporate work.
My work has been published by BBC Wildlife, BBC History, BBC Mundo, the Guardian, Travel Africa, National Geographic News, Africa Geographic, SA 4x4, Juice, Safari, Sawubona, Wild Magazine, Go!, Quest, the Sunday Times, Contributoria, and many others and has been shown at the Iziko Museum in Cape Town and exhibitions in the US, South Africa, and Europe.
