Marete Selvin is a produce based in Nairobi Kenya mainly focusing on gender issues, climate change, environmental and conservation. In this she works with team members to develop and implement multimedia projects, including video productions showcasing creativity and originality. She is involved in developing concepts, messages and story lines.
She started off as a reporter and rose up the ladder to become the Sports Art and Culture Editor. It is during this time that she produced a cook show that was considered the most successful program. she also produced and presented a one-hour travel show. A non- fictional show about travelling to various places with an objective to create an urge from the locals and foreigners to visit these sites in promotion of tourism and create a sense of ownership for Kenyans to enhance ongoing conversations about our heritage.
She has recently produced and directed three documentaries and is currently on a continental tour profiling women in Africa who are in the front-line fighting for peace.
