Nabin Baral is a freelance Editorial and Documentary photographer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. He worked at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) as a Consultant Photographer and Photo Editor from 2009 to 2013. His photographic work focuses on the environment, mountains, people, and social issues. He also worked for three years as a Photography and Documentary Film Consultant for Friends Affected and Infected Together in Hand (FAITH) – a Kathmandu-based NGO working in the field of HIV/AIDS and Drugs. He has also worked as part-time faculty of photojournalism in various colleges in Kathmandu and is now visiting faculty of photojournalism for different colleges in Nepal. Nabin is graduate of Journalism and Mass Communication from Tribhuvan University. Nabin completed a Diploma in Photojournalism from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines in 2013. Nabin tries to achieve a gender balance in his any photography and multimedia assignments. Nabin believes in the unique power of communication, persuasion, education and information that photo and multimedia story can perform in a society.
