I became a photographer by lucky accident in China in 1996. I sheepishly walked in to the Reuters Beijing Bureau asking if they might want to buy a photo from a trip I took to a remote province, and walked out with a job. The first major story I covered was the Hong Kong Handover. Since then this wonderful profession has taken me all over the globe. I've shot disasters, wars, celebrities, presidents, Olympics, food, concerts, beautiful things and the ugliest things.
I've worked for newswires, global newspapers and a tiny family-owned paper, non-profits, mega-corporations as well as a local goat cheese maker.
I'm up for assignments of any sort.
