Nicky Quamina-Woo is a documentary photographer based between Indonesia and Tanzania.
She learned her craft at Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she worked as a commercial photographer before following her heart to more in-depth documentary work.
Nicky's abiding fascination with the beauty of the human spirit, deeply influences her approach to image making. In 2018, she was selected as a Reuter's Storytelling Grant recipient for her work in Tanzania.
In her time as an independent, her clients have included Der Spiegel, CNN, Time magazine, Marie Claire, Oprah magazine, Buzzfeed.
