Nicolas Blandin (b. 1982) is a self-taught photographer based in Annecy, France. A former translator, Nicolas considers photography his passport and compass. He is passionate about visual storytelling, the great outdoors and genuine encounters.
His photographic practice explores our relationship with the landscape, and focuses on portraiture, travel and visual storytelling. He is currently working on two long-term projects dealing with the legacy and prospects of pastoralism in the French Alps.
Nicolas is fluent in English, French, Spanish and has a basic command of German.
