Vincent DU is a filmmaker and photographer. He used to be a photojournalist working for several newspapers and Reuters in China from 2004 to 2010.
His documentary, China's Little Rock Star, won British One World Media Award 2013, and has been shortlisted to several film festivals around the world, and was aired on Al Jazeera English Channel in July 2013. His project, China's Music Dream, got Special Mention at Talent Campus Tokyo at FILMeX International Film Festival 2013 in Japan. His new fiction film project, Five to Nine, co-produced with three other Asian directors, has been screened at the Golden Horse Film Festival in Taipei, the Singapore International Film Festival, the Osaka Asian Film Festival, and Hong Kong Independent Film Festival. He was also selected to Berlinale Talents at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival 2014.
Vincent received his master degree in Screen Documentary at Goldsmiths, University of London with the support of British government Chevening scholarship. He also obtains a master degree in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong.
