Neal Menschel has served as director of photography, picture editor, and senior photographer at The Christian Science Monitor, and as a staff photographer for the Anchorage Daily News. As a freelancer his clients include The New York Times, Newsweek, GEO, USA Today, Yankee, Frontline, and private industry and institutions. Menschel has also served as the director of photography at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and has taught at Boston University. Menschel’s fine art and documentary photography has been featured in solo exhibits in the San Francisco Bay area, Metropolitan Boston, New England, and the Pacific Northwest. He also works as a consultant and mentor guiding clients through the development and growth of their photographic skills as they work towards exhibits, books and careers in documentary, commercial, and fine art photography.
