Nneka Iwunna Ezemezue

Nneka Iwunna Ezemezue is a Nigerian visual story teller living and working in Lagos, Nigeria. Her work, mostly instigated by personal experience, examines social issues which includes tradition, gender equality, social justice and human rights through which she seeks answers to questions and challenge biased stereotypes.
Her work has been exhibited at the Crossing Compasses, David Dale Gallery, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Scotland (TNI.ACP), Goethe Institute Cultural Heritage Photography Master class, Nlele Institute Lagos Open Range, LagosPhoto Canon Photo storytelling, LagosPhoto festival and Addis Foto Fest. Her images have been published in Dienacht magazine, Journ Africa, British Journal of Photography and The Guardian.
Nneka was a 2017 Magnum Foundation Fund grantee. She was nominated for Joop Swart Masterclass 2018 and shortlisted for the Contemporary African Photography prize 2018.
