David Korchin is a Canadian-born artist now living in Brooklyn, NY. who works in documentary, travel and fine art photography. His work has been exhibited in group and solo gallery shows, and has appeared in PDN, Down Beat magazine, Jazz Times and The New York Times.
His subject matter is wide ranging, yet his keenest focus is on documentary storytelling of the human condition; travels through Europe and South America, and his years spent in Brazil offer a close-in perspective of the extraordinary circumstances of everyday people.
David is currently engaged in a long-term project called Belonging, a visual investigation of the signs and symbols that bind people together, or keep others out.
