Fiona has 20 years international experience in photojournalism, editorial, corporate photography, editing, training, and more recently, video production. Photography assignments have taken her all over the world, to locations in Africa and Asia as well as Europe and the Americas. She brings international perspective to projects having lived and worked in Europe, Africa and grown up in Australia. In her role as Producer and Director Creative Services she oversees and coordinates all media production: photography, radio, audio, video, video streaming, multimedia, HDTV. Many of the public service campaigns she has produced incorporate TV, radio, print and online channels and have been produced in Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin and other languages. Many of these campaigns, such as Hungry Pests, iPass animation, Family Talk, have taken awards.
Her work involves carrying out research and meeting with clients to understand their programs and goals; contributing to strategy and creative briefs; overseeing treatments and scripts, ensuring that they address all client goals and will be effective in achieving required results; creating budgets, schedules; putting together the team: director photography (DP), scriptwriter, director etc.; identifying talent and locations, identifying the types of cameras to be used for the look, overseeing the field production and providing input to editing, music, audio, and as necessary, special effects.
She graduated with a B.A. with Honors in TV and Radio, San Francisco State University, 2011 summa cum laude. Her work has been published in The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek, The Kellogg Foundation Magazine, Detroit Free Press, among others.
She has had exhibited her photographic work in Australia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, New York, and San Francisco. She was nominated for a Pulitzer by The New York Times for coverage of Somalia.
