Okke Ornstein
Panama City, Panama
I am a Dutch journalist, based in Panama but actually traveling all over the place. I write, I produce radio features, shoot video and take photographs. Over the last couple of years I've flown into a war zone on a cargo plane, hiked across Europe with refugees, went searching for missing girls in Panama, got shot at in Damascus, exposed some fraud artists, trekked through the jungle investigating a hydroelectric dam and Colombian drug smugglers and watched Obama shake hands with Castro.
Some of my work won awards (see below), and one of my radio features was nominated in 2013 for the Prix Europa.
I used to work in TV and advertising in Holland before moving to Panama in 2001.

2000 - Prix Iris, 1995 - Golden Rose Montreux
