Palak Mittal
Delhi, India
I am an undergraduate student of BA(Hons) in Fine Arts, Photography Major and Videography Minor from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore. I have been awarded The Future Young Leaders Scholarship from Lasalle. My passion in photography began in Welham Girls High School, Dehradun where I served as the official school photographer and went on to win several laurels at various levels. I was honoured with the Ayasha Maydays Scholarship for Excellence in the Field of Photography.
I have always been adventurous and had a passion to travel. I went on to win the Gold- International Award for Young People and also led various mountaineering camps across India.
When I am walking around photographing, I get in a mindset where I am much more attuned to the world around me.
I believe I have a compassionate eye. At the core, my work is centred around people, and the commonalities of the global experiences.
Having achieved a global perspective, I aim to find the minor similarities we all share.
It’s a privilege to be alive and thats what comes through in my art.
