Patrícia Monteiro is a documentary photographer and photojournalist currently based in São Paulo, Brazil. She's a graduate from the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, besides having diplomas in Journalism (PUC-SP) and Social Sciences (USP).
Patrícia is interested in telling stories and covering social and economic issues, but she also loves documenting people's singular lives, such as the elderly women she photographed while in New York City.
Her work has been published in Time, NPR.com, Al Jazeera, El País, Bloomberg Business, Valor Econômico, Wall Street Journal, Aftenposten (Norway), Huffington Post, Audubon, VICE Brasil, EBS News (South Korea), Harmony Magazine (India), among others.
