For as long as he can remember, Patrik Felber has been fascinated by stories and an affinity towards photographs. His visual storytelling has explored the consequences of migration, poverty, crisis and social issues and he has dedicated his work to documenting the effect of international events. It is his sincere desire that his images eventually change his subjects situation and its environment. Patrik believes that photojournalists have a duty to bring a light into darkness and that photographs mirror the ills of the society to realize its mistakes.
His assignments and self-initiated projects, take him all over the world and he has photographed over 40 countries for his projects. Other recent works include a documentary movie „from the horizontal to the vertical: a nation in flux“ about the circumstances in Mongolia for homeless people during winter time, „the man with the tattoo“ a multimedia reportage about the controversal art collector Rik Reinking, „The land of upright people“ a documentary about and environmental changes in Burkina Faso, „die Flüchlingsindustrie“ a documentary movie about companies that cash in on refugees and „Grenzerfahrung“ a multimedia reportage about the one-sided reporting of medias about refugees. All of these projects were accompanied by short films.
