2020 marks a new departure for me as I return to freelancing. I had been a corporate staff photographer for some years ‘till November 2019.
I’m looking to connect with potential collaborators - commissioning editors, publishers, mentors, writers, curators, art buyers, filmmakers, other photographers - whomever might be interested in what I do.
I’m an observational photographer, working quickly and quietly with small, silent cameras. I react to what is going on around me. Though always on the lookout for an exceptional still image, I’m really just a traditional photo essayist. I'm neither a studio photographer nor a natural portraitist but I am expert in the use of off camera flash when the need arises, such as in event photography. And I bring a healthy dose of wit to my work on most occasions.
I'm a graduate of the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography School in New York, class of 2000.
My work has been represented by Millennium Images in London since 2003.
