Pavel Gospodinov
Varna, Bulgaria
I have an extensive background in non-government and international development sectors with about 15 years of experience in managing, supervising and consulting for large projects and programs.
For the last 10 years I have been working in parallel on fine art, travel and documentary photography projects, which I perceive as a natural extension to my work in the non-government and development sectors.
My documentary work focuses on social, environmental and cultural issues and subjects and also on themes that communicate a strong sense of place and cultural awareness.
I am also attracted to black and white long exposure photography, because it is very close to the photographic impressionism, minimalism and surrealism, I admire so much. I love shooting water, clouds and buildings using long exposures but recently started to create images with people involved as well.
I prefer traveling to off-the-beaten path destinations around the world capturing local life - local cultures, towns and streets, communities and people in their natural environment.
Recently I started to work more intensively with video and multimedia, combining photography, audio, video, and the web.
