John Wendle is a freelance photographer, writer, videographer and video editor. He specializes in conflict and climate change reporting.

John has nearly a decade of experience working in the republics of the former Soviet Union, working in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, and Ukraine as well as five years in Afghanistan. He speaks fluent Russian and some Dari.
John has a Masters Degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
