Hélène Jayet is a photographer and member of Signatures Agency. She studied at École des beaux Arts de Montpellier and Villa Formose in Pau France. She completed her training in a school of graphic design then photojournalism. She works as much as possible in analogue photography and is interested in new broadcasting modes such as multimedia works and web documentary. Her images deal with intimacy, history, memory and questions on indentity. She has worked on the topic of adoption for several years. Hélène Jayet has collaborated with Le Monde, L’Express, Books magazine, Néon magazine, L’Obs, and Libération.

Où commence l’histoire des enfants adoptés ?
Et comment se poursuit-elle – socialement, professionnellement, psychologiquement – à l’adolescence, à l’âge adulte ? Comment transmettre ces histoires d’adoption ? Le sujet de l’adoption est certes régulièrement abordé d’un point de vue analytique, juridique ou encore politique. Mais donne‐t‐on la parole aux premiers concernés ? C’est rare.Le problème identitaire est universel, il touche chacun de nous, le voici à travers le prisme particulier de personnes adoptées.
