Pierre Terdjman is a French documentary photographer and frequent contributor for the New York Times, Paris match and GQ magazine.
Terdjman started his career as a staff photographer for the left-wing Israeli daily Haaretz. He moved back to france in 2007 to take a job as a staff photographer at the Gamma Agency.
He has since then worked on post-electoral violence in Kenya, the Russian-Georgian conflict, Afghanistan, where he spent a year following a French military unit for Paris Match, Haiti after the earthquake. More recently, he photographed the "Arab spring", where he covered the fall of Ben Ali in Tunisia, the fall of Mubarak in Egypt, and the liberation struggle against Gaddafi in Libya and the conflict in Central African Republic.
His work in Haiti was presented as part of a two-man show, with Jerome Sessini's, by the French Ministry of Culture, and his work during the Arab Spring was shown as part of Tblisi's Month of Photography festival. He is currently working on ecology in France as part of a public grant from the Ministry of Culture.his latest works about Israel and Central african republic have been exhibited in Visa pour l'image in Perpignan.
