Oluwasegun Ogunleye
Abuja, Nigeria
Oluwasegun Ogunleye is a Nigerian documentary photographer and visual storyteller whose work explores themes of identity, resilience, and social justice across West Africa. With a sharp eye for overlooked narratives, he is especially passionate about telling the untold stories within marginalised communities, including people with disabilities, women artisans, and fading cultural traditions.
A creative director with nearly a decade of experience, Oluwasegun blends photojournalism with advocacy, often working closely with non-profit organisations and grassroots movements. He serves as a media consultant to the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), helping to amplify voices that are too often ignored.
His images are intimate yet powerful, capturing not just what is seen, but what is felt. Through long-term projects and exhibitions, Oluwasegun is committed to using photography as a tool for social impact, memory preservation, and policy dialogue.
