A well-travelled adventure seeker with a fearless curiosity, award-winning Swedish photographer Katarina Premfors has been photographing professionally for over 24 years, working across different genres. Katarina’s clients vary from many top global advertising and branding agencies to direct bookings for fortune 500 companies, whilst her documentary and editorial work has enabled her to work with Conde Naste, Forbes, and Geo amongst others. Finding inspiration in extraordinary places, and placing herself in unusual situations to get a shot and into people lives, Katarina passion is to to capture the essence of her subject wether it’s the forest of West Papua or the youth on the streets of New York. As a founding member of Photographers for Hope, she is committed to telling stores that can create a positive social impact. A mother of two young children, her favorite subjects remain her family.
Katarina has judged several competitions notably Swiss Malaria Photo Contest 2013 and Al Ain Photographia Awards in 2014 and has won several awards in international competitions such as the International Colour Awards, The Loupe Awards, Black & White Spider Awards and was a finalist in the HIPA awards in 2014.

Deforestation in Indonesia
Invited by Greenpeace I photographed deforestation and its effects on three villages.
One village devastated by the effects off an island off Sumtra, another village on mainland Sumatra; who has learned to move forward and take control after their village was changed forever and West Papua where some of the last of the Virgin rain forests exists.
