Paula Rey Jiménez
New York, NY, United States
I was born in Cádiz, Spain, my family and me moved to the north part of the country, to a small city called La Coruña, and finally I moved to the capital of Spain, Madrid to enroll the University. I am a fresh graduate in Science degree in physical activity and sport; and Journalism from Camilo José Cela University in Madrid, and I took a quarter of my journalism major at University of California-Riverside.
Since I was a child I was fascinated with photography. I always took pictures and looked for the perfect frame. At the moment I am going through a more abstract stage in my life. I have always wanted to live in New York because in my opinion, this would be a defining step for me as a photographer. Through each of the images I would like to confer my feelings to others.
I have met an advanced level of English so now I am enjoying a lot my studies in USA. On one hand because I am learning really good stuff from my classmates and workmates, and in the other hand because I think that my whole vocabulary in English and also in Spanish is being rich faster.
I know that I am a really ambitious person, but this is one of my features that I love. Talking about my long-term goals, my beginning will be getting a good job and seeking all the experience I can, but this is really tiring and when years go by, our motivation starts to fall. We should be clear on our goals to be able to continue with our effort, and believe in our possibilities. Those goals in my case include creating a family; reaching enough money to travel, to meet new people, to discover new places and philosophies; and being able to split my twenty four hours each day not only to work and sleep but also to continue with my hobbies, continue with my investigations and continue enjoying the life.
