Originally from Romania, I immigrated to Canada in 1993, 4 years after the fall of the Ceausescu regime. I did my studies in science and humanities throughout high school and went to Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to pursue a degree in political science and photography (fine art). I also hold a Graduate Diploma in journalism from Concordia University. I work on medium to long term projects, mostly on socio-political issues but street photography is also a big part of my work. I am a former member of Visura Guild, a photography collective.
My clients include Al Jazeera, Spiegel, TAZ Germany, PRIVATE Magazine and others.
