Born in the Netherlands he discovered the darkroom at the age of 10...
After studying Cultural Anthropology at the university of Utrecht and photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Hague he started working as a photographer.
Now, 15 years later, he's happy doing a variety of editorial assignments, all in his own personal bold photography style.
He mainly works for international editors as a freelancer or shoots self initiated stories. Sander also works for Getty assignments, and his work is being distributed by Corbis images. (now through Getty)
