Marsha Arnold
Hay-on-Wye, United Kingdom
Studying under David Hurn at Newport on the well respected Documentary Photography course. As a busy London-based editorial photographer followed; commissioned by a raft of national magazine and newspaper titles including Marie-Claire and Elle, the Telegraph, Observer and Guardian. One of my first assignments took me to Libya to shoot a photo essay featuring Gaddafi and his infamous private all-female bodyguard, the 'Amazonian Guard' to photographing a Travellers' bare-knuckle fist fight.
After now spending my time between London and Hay-on-Wye, my naturalistic, reportage style matched with my keen love and respect of the traditional country ways be they people, gardens' and food have lead to commissions from various publications, The Telegraph Magazine, Gardeners' World Magazine, Weekend Magazine,M&S to regular commissions with the BBC acclaimed horticultural television presenter and writer Monty Don. Published books The Home Cookbook (Bloomsbury) and Gardening at Longmeadow (BBC/Ebury).
