Robert McPherson

Robert McPherson (b.1982, Norway) began freelancing for Norway`s Aftenposten national newspaper in 2011. For Aftenposten newspaper he covers news, culture, portraits, sports and features. In 2014 he also began freelancing for the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv. He is a member of Metaphor Images; an international documentary photographer`s collective based in Australia.
Robert studied for a Bachelor of Communications with a double major in film and photography at Edith Cowan University in Australia. In 2006 he graduated with an honors degree focusing on documentary photography.
He received 3rd place for the Picture Of The Year Award in Norway 2013. Some of his work has been published online at National Geographic 2014. Robert divides his time with newspaper work and personal longterm documentary projects. He is available for assignments world wide.
