Roberto Salomone

Born in Naples in 1981. After studying at the Anglo Italian School he graduates in classic studies. In 2006 he graduates in photography at he IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). In 2003 he earns the Proficiency degree in English as a second language. Professional photojournalist since 2003. He worked as a stringer for the AFP (Agence France Presse). He has worked in Italy, Unites States, Afghanistan, Balcans, Africa and Middle East.
His works have appeared on the major national and international publications such as: The New York Times, Time, The Washington Post, Le Monde, Le Figarò, Le Parisien, CNN, Panorama, L’Espresso, Famiglia Cristiana, Christies’s Magazine, Internazionale, The Telegraph, Der Spiegel, Stern.
His work is focused mainly on social issues and for the last years he has been covering the refugees crisis in Europe: from Turkey to the island of Lesbos, from Greece to Macedonia, from Serbia to Hungary, from Italy to France.
His photographs have been exhibited at Museo Madre (Naples), Villa Pignatelli Museum (Naples), Castel dell’Ovo (Naples), Pan Museum (Naples), Journalism Festival in Perugia.
