Rodrigo is an independent photographer and videographer based in Mexico City. He produces professional-quality images, video and multimedia in Mexico, Latin America and the world.

Rodrigo has worked as a studio assistant for war photographer James Nachtwey (TIME magazine) in New York. In 2006, he attended a workshop with Gary Knight (VII Photo) in Argentina, which resulted in the publication of a collective book. He has also trained with Ron Haviv (VII Photo).
His editorial photography has been published in Cambio (Mexico), EFE (Spain), the Financial Times (United Kingdom), GlobalPost (USA), The Huffington Post (USA), the Sydney Morning Herald (Australia), WirtschaftsWoche (Germany), Transit (Japan) and Vice Magazine (USA), among others. Rodrigo Ordóñez is also a contributor to Getty Images and a freelance photographer for The Wall Street Journal (USA).
His list of NGO and UN clients includes the American Red Cross, CARE, Mercy Corps, Oxfam, Save the Children, UNICEF and the World Economic Forum.
He has produced corporate photography for commercial clients such as KONE and Showtime.
Rodrigo is trilingual in English, French, and Spanish. He speaks and writes intermediate Bahasa Indonesia and Haitian Creole.
Through his images, Rodrigo seeks to shed light on underreported issues. He applies his academic training and field experience to deliver world-class documentary and editorial stories. His work benefits from his diverse international background in communication, journalism and humanitarian aid. Through his career, he has lived in four continents. He was last based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Rodrigo holds a bachelor's degree in journalism (Bilbao, Spain & Worcester, UK) and a master's degree in international relations from The Fletcher School (Tufts University, USA).
