Rosie Spinks
Los Angeles, CA, United States
Born in Los Angeles to two British parents, Rosie is a 25-year-old journalist and digital nomad. Her work has appeared both in print and on the web in The Guardian, Slate, Marie Claire, Al Jazeera, Outside, Sierra Magazine, Roads & Kingdoms, Talking Points Memo, The Ecologist and others.
She’s the Cities Editor for GOOD Magazine, where she curates the annual GOOD City Index, a ranking of the most inspiring cities around the globe. Her work has been noted in print, TV, and radio coverage in Los Angeles Magazine, Take Part Live, The Londonist, The Big Issue, and local radio stations in the US.
Her writing and lifestyle means she's constantly on the move--she lives out of a single suitcase--but loosely "based" in London. Throughout her career thus far, she has interviewed and written about a variety of subcultures and individuals including migrant strawberry pickers in Central California, precocious teenage ‘skhothanes’ in Soweto, former sex workers in Cape Town, street food hawkers in Saigon, and the homeless and immigrant community in London.
