Solomon Nzioki popularly known as "Roots of Afrika" on social media is a Kenyan photographer that specialises in documentary photography. Straight out of high school, Solomon began taking photos as soon as he could afford his first smart phone. Even at this early stage, his potential was palpable earning him the opportunity to cut his teeth under the apprenticeship of renown South Sudanese photographer Emmanuel Jambo. Since then, Solomon has been able to establish a unique style of his own that combines a great eye for spacial awareness combined with a knack for capturing human subjects with immense grace and dignity regardless of their circumstances. Minimalistic does not quite encapsulate Solomon's approach instead, this artist is able to draw you in with breathtaking interpretations of seemingly routine human activities that at once leap out and grab your attention through the sheer clarity of their naturalistic depiction. On an individual level, Solomon is a man of few words but that's no matter because his work speaks volumes.
