Rocco Rorandelli (Italy, 1973) started working as a documentary photographer after his doctoral studies in Biology, which helped him develop a profound interest in global social and environmental issues. His images have been utilized in several awareness campaigns of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, and published by the main international magazines, such as D di Repubblica, Der Spiegel, GEO (France, Italy), Guardian Review, IL, Internazionale, Io Donna, Le Monde Magazine, L'Espresso, Monocle, Newsweek, Paris Match, Sportweek, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair and others. He had been shortlisted at Sony World Photography 2010. With the latest on-going project on the development and impact of the global tobacco industry, he has been awarded a grant by the Fund for Investigative Journalism and supported by a successful crowd-funding campaign.
Rocco is based in Rome.
