Ruud Peters

Ruud Peters, a native of The Netherlands, has been a professional
photographer for the past 30 years. His work included portraits,
weddings, product displays, and post processing of images. His central
interests now focus on landscapes, nature, and the macro world. The
Gallery “de Opsteker” in Amsterdam and the “international photo festival”
in Knokke-Heist, Belgium recently presented several of his works.
Ruud was presented several awards in the past few years for instance; the 2006 International Color Awards "Nominee" in the category of "Nature Professional", 1st place in "Nature, wildlife/pets" category of the "International Photography Awards 2006 Competition", winner of the "Px3 Paris PUBLIC CHOICE AWARD 2007" in the category "Fine Art Pro" and "first place winner" in the category: lines and forms, of the yearly international "Argus Photo Competition 2007" first place in the category “nature professional” of the “International Black & White Spider Awards 2008” and "second place winner" in the category: “Photojournalism”, of the “International Black & White Spider Awards 2009”
He is internationally known for his unique style of photography.
Portfolio’s have been published in several magazines, of which the Dutch nature magazine called “Grasduinen” and the Rumanian Photo magazine called “Photo Video Digital”
His works emphasize his interest in finding the uncommon in the common
by using light, angle, and perspective as his tools.
"There is a beautiful scene hidden everywhere," he says.
