Salman is a creative director and a visual content creator. With an experience of over 10 years as a director, photographer and videographer with clients like DFID - UKaid, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, Centre for Equity Studies, UN Women, The Turkish Embassy, JWT, Ogilvy & Mather, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Nokia, Lays, Tehelka, Fountain Ink Magazine, Peninsula Foundation, GlobalPost, Yuva Foundation, Harper’s Bazaar India, FNL Romania and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs – Govt. of India, Salman’s work has included social issues like maternal and child health, global food security, caste & gender, water & sanitation, public health, tribal displacement, urban poverty, human trafficking and HIV/AIDS. His photographic work has been published internationally and exhibited in 2008 at the Experimental Art Gallery in IHC. Salman has been creating still and motion work for advertising and promotional campaigns along with international development sector films.
In 2014, he shot four films for MCHIP - USAID on the theme of maternal health and child immunisation in India. In 2015, Salman directed a series of films commissioned by the Department of International Development (DFID), Govt. of the United Kingdom that were screened in Rome, Italy, at a global event.
