Anna Zekria

Co-founder and managing director of Salt Images, an independent photography agency based in Moscow. She promotes the work of up-and-coming and established visual authors and supervises their projects on a regular basis. Anna is an independent curator and photography consultant.
In 2005 she joined Russian photojournalism agency Photographer.Ru, representing international agencies within Russia, including Magnum Photos. From 2008 to early 2011 she held the position of managing director, developing photographers' personal projects that focused on contemporary life in Russia and the CIS, building distribution to national and international clients. Since 2010, she was the media projects director of the non-profit Objective Reality Foundation.
Anna curated a number of exhibitions, including the mobile exhibition 'Russian Northern Caucasus on the Road of Changes’ (2010); multimedia installation on Russian contemporary photography at the Photoquai Forum at the Musée du quai Branly in Paris (2009), The Best of Multimedia Journalism multimedia exhibition at Red October in Moscow (2013), Russian Contemporary photography exhibition at Dali International festival in China (2013) etc. She was a guest curator for Curate NYC - showcase of New York City visual artists (2013).
Her recent activities include (selected): speaking and reviewing portfolios at Latin American photography forum in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2013), Encontros da Imagem festival in Braga, Portugal (2012); serving as a jury member for Czech Press Photo (2012), Viena International Photography Award (2013), World Press Photo Multimedia Contest (2012).
Since 2013 she is teaching a "Visual storytelling and Multimedia" class at Moscow School of Visual Arts.
In 2011 she co-founded Salt Images agency.
