Santi Palacios

Santi Palacios was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1985 and is currently based in Barcelona, but works mainly outside of his country as a freelance photojournalist, contributing to international news agencies and media outlets such as the Associated Press, among others.
His work has been published in major newspapers and magazines worldwide, and has been recognized with several awards, including World Press Photo, POY, National Headliners, Istanbul Photo Contest or the National Photojournalism Award, among others.
Also a trained sociologist, during the past years he has focused much of his work on migrants, the reasons why they leave their countries, as well as their journeys and final destinations.
