SARA BENNETT has been a public defender specializing in battered women and the wrongly convicted, book author (The Case Against Homework), anti-homework advocate (founding the non-profit Stop Homework) and has taught yoga to women and children in a homeless shelter. Her photo essay about her pro bono client, Spirit on the Inside: Reflections on Doing Time with Judith Clark, was selected for the 2014 INFOCUS Juried Exhibition of Self- Published Books at the Phoenix Art Museum.
Life After Life in Prison has been exhibited numerous times, and been featured on, among others, the Metropolitan Section of the New York Times, PBS New Hour/Art Beat and the Marshall Project. Her website is www.lifeafterlifeinprison.com.
