Photographer and filmmaker. Simon Casal de Miguel (A Coruña, 1984) studied film directing/scripting and sociology.
He has worked as editorial and advertising photographer with recognition by institutions like FNAC, ElPais and the Galician Government.
“Eduardo Barreiros” (2011) was his first TV movie as a director. It was widely broadcasted and won him the prize for best TV movie at the Houston Int. Fest. 2012 and at the Galician Film Industry Awards 2012.
His first feature film Dirty Wolves was completed in 2015 having Its World premiere at Mill Valley Film Festival. Selected in tens of festivals in USA, Europe and Asia, It was commercially released in 2016. Now he prepares the documentary "The Wave", an award-winning project in MiradasDoc 2018 and the film “Light Rain", a screenplay selected as one of the 5 best national projects in the SGAE Foundation, while continues his work as ad filmmaker and editorial photographer.
