Stefano D’Amadio was born in Rome where he now lives and works.
As his great passion is cinema he begins working as a set photographer and in no time begins collaborating with world famous directors such as Marco Bellocchio, Emanuele Crialese and Gabriele Salvatores Roberta Torre. In 2003 he wins the national CliCiak prize for the best coloured photographic series fro the film “Respiro”, and receives a special mention in 2004 and 2005.
As Director of photography he works on a number of documentaries and films, among which “Voci di ieri e di oggi. Giuseppe di Vittorio” and “Giuseppe De Sanctis”, both directed by Carlo Lizzani and the latter presented in New York at the MOMA in 2007 and is competition Festival del Cinema di Venezia in 2009, Venezia Biennale 2011 a installation video Acqua Ferita by Ali Assaf. His photographs have been published by L’Espresso, Io Donna D la Repubblica delle Donne.
