Selina Pfrüner

Selina Pfrüner is a Cologne based freelance photographer, working nationwide in the fields of portrait and reportage photography for magazines, companies and non-profit organizations as well as a photo lecturer at the university of applied sciences, Dortmund where she also graduated from in photography in 2010 with a self published magazine with stories and portraits about downshifting. In her artistic projects and commissioned works, she focuses on social issues and sustainability. Her award-wining projects have been exhibited multiple times, including the first prize of the BGW Photo Awards on inclusion, the Gruner & Jahr and the Canon Profifoto Photo Awards on one bed rooms (catholic priests bedrooms). Her latest project Munaqabba broaches the issue of the so-called «burqa-debate» and the stories behind the veil of fully covered women in Germany. Her multimedia installation is generously supported by the city of cologne.
