Long story short: Shaminder Dulai is a storyteller who specializes in not being a jerk.
An editor, multimedia producer, documentary photographer and independent filmmaker; he uncovers stories that live beyond the daily news cycle by crafting journalistic narratives that allow for understanding of complex issues and coming to informed conclusions on the human level. He has worked in newsrooms across the country and has been recognized by The Poynter Institute, Columbia Journalism Review, International Center for Journalists, The Knight Foundation and The Mozilla Foundation. At Newsweek, Shaminder founded Newsweek Films, curates Newsweek's Instagram and heads up an award-winning visuals team which continues to surprise him every week. His current personal project is StatelessVoices.com, a multimedia narrative on people trapped without citizenship in the U.S. and Europe, which was featured on "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver," and in Newsweek, MSNBC, Global Post, Carolina public TV, among others.
