Nantes, France
Sidney Léa Le Bour was born in 1990 and currently lives in Nantes.
First graduated in architecture, she joined the ENS Louis Lumière Section photography until 2014. In a few years, her wanderings took her to the four corners of the world with an insatiable passion and curiosity.
Crossing of the Eurasian continent by hitchhiking. Long-term winter report in Siberia. She photographs peoples all over the world and quickly collaborates with the French press (Geo, L'Obs, VSD, Neon, Liberation, Humanity, Le Parisien ...) and international (AFP, Reuters, Sept, Le Vif, Il Reportage , Rhythms Monthly, Datum ...).
Surprise is the engine of her photographic creation and a key element in the choice of her projects. The unusual attracts her and she makes images by intending to show what astonishes and fascinates her.
Human bodies chiselled, soft and wrinkled. The meanders of limestone. The asperities of the ice. Each series of images that she produces push further her exploration of material and color. Generator of curiosity, intriguing traditions are another of these favorite subjects.
Her work has been exhibited at several occasion. She is currently represented by the agency Hans Lucas and the gallery Hegoa.
