Simone Mizzotti
Milan, Italy
Simone Mizzotti was born in Crema in 1983.
He studied at the L.A.B.A, Academy of Fine Arts of Brescia. In the same years he deepens the study of Italian photographers of the last decades, dedicating himself to a personal investigation into the Italian landscape.
He attended the master of high education on the contemporary image promoted by the Fondazione Fotografia of Modena.
In the summer of 2012 he participated for two months in the Artist in Residence program at the Centro de la Imagen of Lima in Peru. At the end of the residence he exhibited at the Centro Cultural Ricardo of Lima.
He participates in various artist residencies in Italy developing his interest in the territory and the landscape (Confotografia, Mountain Photo Festival, MenoTrentuno young photography in Sardinia and PAS_Design Atelier Sardegna).
From December 2013 to April 2014 he was a visiting professor at the Ningbo Polytechnic in Beilun, Zhejiang China teaching technique and photographic design.
He receives the honorable mention at the Graziadei Prize 2014 for the Ningbo Polytechnic project during the XIII edition of the Rome Photography Festival.
In recent years he has undertaken various educational activities aimed at bringing the public closer to the observation of the contemporary landscape, through a look and a language documentary.
