ETI-INYENE GODWIN AKPAN, popularly known as sir INYENE is a photographer with a special interest in documentary photography.
He started capturing beautiful images with his smartphone and he officially bagan his journey as a Documentary Photographer in 2017.
He has been commissioned for projects by both individual and cooperate organisations like The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (Youth Development Centre), Coca-Cola, Addax Petroleum, Goge Africa, Akwaaba African Travel Market, African Hub International, The Ubong King Foundation, and many others.
He is presently serving as the official Documentary Photographer and Media Associate (photography) for the Social Good Lagos. This is an international NGO that addresses issues on zero hunger, to climate action, sustainable tourism, peace & justice for all, and the the sustainable development goals. The Social Good Lagos is closely monitored by the United Nations Foundation.
Sir INYENE is also the Founder of PhotoWaka Africa and seats as the Chairman for PhotoWaka Africa Foundation. PhotoWaka Africa is a community of passionate and enthusiastic people driven by a united interest to document & tell visual stories using photographs. The foundation provides opportunities for African Creatives to horn their skills thereby giving them the platform to express themselve through the visual storytelling. The foundation achieves this by organizing trainings, workshops, photo walks, and other opportunities for photographers; and it have recorded tremendous turnouts and impacts.
He has been featured on Sliverbird TV, the Tribune Newspaper, the Guardian Newspaper, Amore, amongst others. He's also one of the Contributors for the Spark Magazine by BusinessDay Newspaper. And his works has been published with the United Nations Foundation, Tour Nigeria (the official tourism page of Nigeria), Samsung Mobile, Africa Travel Quaterly (Africa's world airlines inflight magazine), amongst others.
