Souki Mehdaoui is a filmmaker based in New York. After a colorful upbringing across Morocco, France and the U.S., she studied visual journalism, psychology, and sustainability at UNC Chapel Hill and the Evergreen State College. Through documentary and socially-engaged film projects, she has collaborated with artists from around the world and partnered with organizations like Mason Jar Music, Found Sound Nation, Matter Unlimited, Nomadique, and Refinery29. From national campaigns to experimental art, Souki explores film as an entry-point into empathy, wisdom, and ecological storytelling.

Dosti Music Project
Dosti, which means friendship in both Urdu and Hindi, seeks to transcend political and cultural barriers through cross-cultural musical collaboration. For five weeks, artists from India, Pakistan, and the U.S. gather for a residency and tour the country with their original works.
