Susan McConnell

Susan is a biologist and wildlife photographer who has traveled and photographed extensively in Africa, Alaska, Central America, and closer to home in Northern California. Her cover story on African elephants appeared in the November 2010 issue of Smithsonian magazine, and her images have been published in National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, and Stanford Magazine and exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, the G2 Gallery in Los Angeles, and the Gallery for Good in New York City. McConnell is an affiliate of the International League of Conservation Photographers, and she teaches Conservation Photography at Stanford University.
