Tara Todras-Whitehill is a documentary photographer who has been living in the Middle East region for over 10 years. For six years she founded and ran a media production and storytelling agency, Vignette that worked with socially-minded clients and NGOs to create impactful in-depth projects. Previously, she was a staff photographer for the Associated Press for four years during which time she covered the uprisings of the Arab world. Her personal passion is women's issues and in the past few years, she has received major grants from the European Journalism Centre and the International Women's Media Foundation to do work on global reproductive health.
