Thatcher Bean

Thatcher started his filming career traveling the world shooting action sports and conservation focused documentaries. He has spent the last three years between Boston, East and Central Africa, and Haiti filming architecture projects for MASS Design Group. A short documentary he directed in 2016 was voted audience choice at the New York Architecture and Design Film Festival. He has contributed to exhibitions in the United States and Canada, has lectured on the intersection of design and film at Brown University, and participated in panels and juries at Columbia and Harvard Universities. His continued interest in freelance work is driven by a desire to bring new creative techniques gained from a diverse production background to new themes and subjects.
Thatcher owns and operates a RED Dragon camera but has extensive experience shooting with DSLR and Sony camcorders.
